The Kingdom of Thailand is another country in the region of the south east of Asia and is acknowledged for its flamboyant culture and delicious cuisine. Thailand is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Asia with people visiting from all parts of the globe. Geographically the country lies east to the countries of Cambodia and Laos and South to the country of Malaysia as well as the Gulf of Thailand. To the west of Thailand lies the state of Burma and the Andaman Sea. The capital city of the country is Bangkok and the royal anthem of Thailand is called Phleng Sansoen Phra Barami. The official language of the state is Thai and the system of the state is that of a Parliamentary democracy as well as a Constitutional monarchy. Thailand was part of many Kingdoms in the past and each one has contributed to the history and culture of the land. It was included in the Sukhothai Kingdom between1238–1368, the Ayutthaya Kingdom in the year 1350, the Thonburi Kingdom since 1767, the Rattanakosin Kingdom from 6th of April 1782 and was finally declared a Constitutional Monarchy on 24th of June in the year 1932. The country expands on an area of 513,115 km² or 198,115 sq mi and ranks on number 49 amongst all the countries of the world. The total population of Thailand is about 63,038,247 with a population density of 122/km². The land has been inhabited by men since the Paleolithic period which means that men dwelled on Thailand some 10,000 years ago. The rulers of the land have varied since olden days and it was sought by many because of its beauty and location. Thailand is the only Southeast Asian nation which has never been colonized as it had capable rulers who capitalized on the animosity between the French and British and thus the land was never surrendered to either one.
