Disneyland Paris


Disneyland Resort in Paris was built as a recreational theme park in the suburb of Paris by the name of is a holiday and recreation resort in Marne-la-Vallée. The complex of the resort lies at a distance of twenty miles from the central part of Paris and belongs administratively to the commune of Chessy although part of the area is beyond the boundaries of the district. Disneyland Resort in Paris comprises of not only two theme parks but also several hotels owned by the Disney land enterprise as well as an entertainment section. The park was inaugurated on 12th of April in 1992 and ranks second only to Disney Land Tokyo which lie outside of the United States. Last year some 14.5 million people visited Disneyland Resort in Paris and it is one of the most frequently visited tourist destinations in Europe.


Theme parks:

Built on an area of 140 acres the design is a replica of the original Californian Disney land. On the 16th of March in the year 2002 the park was opened to the common public and has been a success ever since. Disneyland Park has alone had around10.6 million visitors which makes it the 5th largest world wide. The Studio has been visited by 2.2 million people.

Disney Hotels:

The Disneyland Hotels are a major part of the enterprise. The hotel is situated on the entrance of the main park and is one of the best hotels in Paris. The total number of hotels is seven. Lake Disney is the famous lake that is located within the complex and is surrounded by three of the seven hotels. The names include Disney’s Newport Bay Club, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge and Disney’s Hotel New York. Close to the lake in the complex lie the Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne and Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe.
