Houston is one of the major hubs for the production of equipment for oilfields. The amount of cargo tonnage handled and the amount of waterborne tonnage handled has made the Port of Houston rank second and first among all the ports of the United States of America. The international community of the city is growing at a fast pace and is very large, as in the multicultural population of the city. There are a lot of cultural exhibits and institutions located in the city, which has made the city a major tourist attraction. Every year the Houston Museum District attracts more than seven million people.
